Robert K. Ostberg, Financial Adviser*
Growing up, Rob Ostberg was passionate about baseball. He played the sport throughout school, and at Amherst College, where he earned his undergraduate degree. He was voted MVP of his semi-pro league, and seriously considered becoming a baseball coach. Faced with the uncertainties of a career coaching baseball, he decided to pursue law school instead.
Rob attended the Western New England College School of Law while doing child support enforcement work at the District Attorney’s office. He soon realized that working within the judicial system was not to his liking. However, he knew he wanted to work in a field that would allow him to help people, stay local and contribute to his community. At the recommendation of a mentor, he explored a career in the financial services industry.
Two decades later Rob is an established financial adviser with Eagle Strategies, a Registered Investment Adviser. Rob offers a full range of investment and insurance services to a client base that is rooted firmly in the Pioneer Valley, in his hometown of Northampton, Massachusetts. Not only has he built a thriving practice – he continues to expand his firm’s capabilities in an effort to better serve the needs of his clients. Rob values the trust his clients put in him, and he and his staff continuously strive to deliver exceptional service.
Rob doesn’t just talk about service to his clients and his community. He invests his most valuable resource: time. He serves on numerous civic committees and boards. Currently he is active as Trustee of Look Memorial Park, Board Member of the United Way and Greater Northampton Chamber of Commerce, Co-Chair of the re-building project for the City of Northampton Police Station, and he serves on the Campaign for Cooley Dickinson Hospital.
Rob's love of baseball lives on – a passion he now shares with his children. Despite his many commitments, he finds the time to coach a youth team and serve as President of the Cal Ripken Baseball League.
Rob lives in Northampton with his wife, Carol, and their two sons, Erik and Ian.
